The Pets Larder New Year: A 2022 Round Up

This year has been a struggle for many small businesses with huge rises in costs, energy bills and essentials and that has been no different for us. Having said all that, thanks to our amazing customers and brilliant staff members, 2022 has still been another fantastic year at The Pets Larder and we have been lucky enough to carry on providing hundreds, if not thousands, of your perfect pets the natural, sustainable and high-quality food, treats, chews and accessories they truly deserve. 

When we started our little business in 2015, at Doggy Daycare Cornwall, we never imagined that we would be growing our team to include 12 members of staff, a large warehouse from which we send out hundreds of online orders a year and that we would be able to provide the very best pet products in the UK to so many delightful dog owners and pussy cat carers in Cornwall and beyond. 

As we mentioned above, there have been a lot of things going on around the world that have affected us all and that includes the horrific war that has been going on in the Ukraine. Earlier this year, with the help of many of our customers, staff and friends we were able to help the awesome Kate Geernaert, from The Dog Groomery Paulton in Somerset, with her unbelievably brave trip to take much-needed pet supplies to the border of Ukraine. Your donations will have made such a difference to pet owners living through atrocities that many of us can only imagine. 

We have also been lucky enough to have you lovely people using our RSPCA donations section, on our website, to carry on helping to donate to RSPCA Cornwall and have also been able to use some of our marketing time to shine a light on some other local pet charities who need our help more than ever, due in no small part to our loyal and brilliant customers support. 

Last, but by no means least, we would like to thank our amazing team who have stuck with us through thick and thin and are integral to the small business we have today. Running a small business can be tough, confusing and a real rollercoaster at times, but having such a brilliant group of people helping us through it makes all the difference. Our new (ish) warehouse, which we took on last year, has gone from strength to strength and we have seen, through reviews on websites such as reviews.io that our team there has exceeded expectations and industry standards consistently. We are so happy that providing our customers with the best service and satisfaction is a standard and something we will always strive to continue doing.
