Last month I was lucky enough to spend a little time away from North Cornwall with some of the The Pets Larder family, just a stone's throw from our headquarters in Hayle, Cornwall. Our weekend away was spent in the stupendous town of St. Ives where we stayed just a hop, skip and jump from the beautiful Porthmeor beach in one of the incomparable Sail Lofts holiday apartments.

As many of you may know, St Ives is a charming town located on the west coast of Cornwall, famous for its stunning beaches, turquoise waters, and picturesque landscapes. This idyllic location has attracted artists and creatives for over a century, who have been inspired by the natural beauty of the area.
Sail Lofts Holidays has a range of luxurious properties, each one designed to provide guests with the ultimate comfort and relaxation. From cosy one-bedroom apartments to spacious four-bedroom townhouses, there really is something for everyone. The properties are beautifully decorated with a contemporary and stylish flair, while retaining the charm of the traditional Cornish architecture from the original buildings. Many of the properties have awesome original features such as exposed wooden beams and stone walls, adding to the character and authenticity of a stay. They are also adorned with a whole host of stunning artworks which is a nice touch and gets you into the mood for a visit to Tate St. Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, both of which are just a short walk away.
All properties come with lots of modern amenities such as fully equipped kitchens, flat-screen TVs, and Wi-Fi. Some of the larger properties also have private balconies, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine and taking in stunning views. There was even a TV in the bathroom in one of our group's apartments!
Another great feature is the showers and changing area in the communal courtyard which is perfect for washing off after a surf or sandy stroll with the dogs on the beach.

They offer a range of services, including daily housekeeping, concierge service, wine lists and even the option to have a private chef come to the property to cook a delicious meal.

The properties are located just a short walk from the town centre, where guests can explore the narrow streets and alleys, visit the local shops and galleries, or enjoy a meal at one of the many fantastic restaurants. We were lucky enough to go on a weekend when the weather was particularly good and spent some excellent hours exploring the area with the dogs by our sides.
