Soopa: Plant-Based Since 2013

Much like the birth of The Pets Larder, Soopa was started when the founder was working in her previous dog based business and noticed the amount of commercial pet food-related illnesses she was coming across. Like us, Barbara was regularly seeing dogs who were overweight, diabetic and suffering from a whole range of allergies and skin conditions, stemming from the regular consumption of poor quality foods, treats and chews. 

With this in mind, she set up Soopa with the intention to “offer dog owners a super healthy treat they could give to their dog guilt-free, that was low calorie, nutritious and also delicious”. Barbara was also on a mission to make chews and treats from fabulously nutritious fruits and vegetables, as she had experienced her dog’s love for them and knew that they could provide top quality nutrition to our furry friends whilst being equally, if not more, delicious than some of the poor quality meat-based chews out there. 

Since its launch in 2013, Soopa products have been creating quite a stir in the dog treat and chew markets, winning the Pet Product Retail Association’s ‘Bets Pet Product’ in 2014 and featuring on primetime TV shows, such as ITV's This Morning.
