Saving You Money
As our business at The Pets Larder grows we are committed to building an ethical and environmentally friendly one stop shop for all your all natural pet food, treats, chews and consciously made accessories. With this in mind our team is constantly striving to find ways of improving what we do, how we do it and how we can continue to help to support animals and animal owners across the country in every way possible. This has led us to making a myriad of changes to our business over the last few years to make us as morally and ethically astute as possible so we can all make a difference to the world around us in a positive way.
One of our most recent projects at The Pets Larder and one that is particularly close to our hearts, is supporting perhaps the most important animal charity in the world, the RSPCA.
We have made a special wish list of fabulous The Pets Larder items that we have worked closely with the fabulous folks at the RSPCA to develop and are available to be sent as donations directly from our warehouse. Alongside the Wishlists we have curated a Charitable Treat Box which allows you and your dog to sample some of our best selling treats whilst we donate a percentage of the sale directly to the RSPCA Cornwall.
We think that all animals deserve the right to a long, healthy and comfortable life and as such we are brimming with pride every time we send out treats, chews and donations to this essential charity.
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or RSPCA was founded way back in 1824 and is the oldest and biggest animal welfare organisation in the whole world and one of the largest charities in the UK. The RSPCA’s primary objective is the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of animals across England and Wales and has inspired other countries and jurisdictions to form similar societies in places such as Scotland, Ireland, Singapore, New Zealand and Hong Kong to name but a few. The RSPCA is also heavily involved in outreach projects right across Europe, Africa and Asia which help through training and advice to help manage education, increase the quality of veterinary care and help implement legislation in countries where there is little to no support for animal welfare. The RSPCA is made up of the main charity organisation plus over 150 local branches that are run as separate charity organisations that are supported by the main organisation as well as funds raised in charity shops, by fundraisers and of course in donations, such as the ones we are helping you provide here at The Pets Larder.
All of the money raised from our sales of the RSPCA Treat Selection Boxes and the donations pledged through our RSPCA Cornwall Wishlist, will be going to the RSPCA’s Cornwall Branch which is based in St. Columb, Cornwall just a short drive from our headquarters in Hayle. This branch of the charity was formed in 1994 when the four existing RSPCA branches in Cornwall decided to pool their resources and form the Cornwall Branch. Since then RSPCA Cornwall has dedicated itself to preventing cruelty, promoting kindness and helping to alleviate the suffering of animals all across the county and we think that is more than deserving of some support from all of us.
As we alluded to above there are two main ways you can help support the RSPCA with The Pets Larder, the wonderful Charitable Treat Box and through our resplendent RSPCA Cornwall Wishlist.
Could there be a better way of supporting a charity than to give your dog a taste of the very best treat pouches that The Pets Larder has to offer? We don't think so, and as such have curated a selection of a fabulous five of our famous and best selling treats for your dogs to delight over. Of course this treats bundle is all about charity and a lovely 10% of the sale price of every one of these tantalising treat boxes will be donated directly to RSPCA Cornwall. So this autumn why not treat your favourite furry friends and the RSPCA Cornwall at the same time and leave the tricks for Halloween.
We think that all dogs and cats deserve the very best all natural, additive free treats and chews that are available on the market and that's why we've teamed up with the RSPCA Cornwall to create our Wishlists. Alongside our fabulous friends at RSPCA Cornwall we have chosen some of our best treats and chews from the The Pets Larder range that can be added to your basket and given as a donation. Once your donation is made we cover the cost of the postage and send it straight out to RSPCA Cornwall, so they can be used to help the animals in need under their care. Our tremendous treats start from just £0.65, so next time you're replenishing your dog's treat box remember those in need and help to give them a brighter tomorrow.
