Coat condition, skin health, and joint stiffness are three of the most common reasons people change their dog's food. They're also three things that omega-3 fatty acids have a genuine, well-documented effect on — and this recipe contains 3.3% omega-3, which is meaningfully higher than most dry foods on the market.

Four fish proteins make up 80% of the recipe: Scottish salmon, herring, haddock and trout. Freshly prepared ingredients account for over half the recipe. Sweet potato replaces grain. The same joint support pack — glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM — is included alongside prebiotics and a botanical mix.

It won't work overnight. But if your dog has been on a low-fish or grain-inclusive diet and their coat is dull, their skin is reactive, or they're stiffening after walks, switching to a food with a serious omega-3 profile is a reasonable first move before considering supplements.
