Naturally low in fat, rabbit is a great protein source for dogs who are overweight or suffer from weight related conditions.
Hypoallergenic Qualities
Rabbit is often considered a novel protein for dog foods, meaning that is a relatively new protein source and therefore few intolerances towards rabbit have developed in canines. It is because of this that Nutriment can consider their raw rabbit-based dog foods as 'hypoallergenic'. If your dog suffers from allergies or intolerances towards traditional protein sources such as chicken and beef, or if they suffer from a sensitive stomach, they recommend trying their rabbit formula. Symptoms of allergies or intolerances can include unpleasant digestive issues, poor skin and coat health and lack of energy or vitality. As always, if you are concerned about any symptoms your dog is experiencing, consult your vet.
Cooking processes and preservatives can damage the nutritional profile of dog food products. As Nutriment's rabbit formula dog food is served and consumed raw, the nutrients are naturally preserved, meaning your dog can enjoy great flavour, texture and nutrition in one meal.
