Rabbit fur acts as a natural fibre source in the digestive tract, functioning in a similar way to roughage: it moves through the gut and can help carry intestinal worms and debris out in the process. This is a commonly cited benefit of furry rabbit ears and is well-established in natural feeding circles, though if your dog has a confirmed worm burden you should be treating that properly, not relying on rabbit ears.
The chew itself is 82% crude protein — the highest protein content in the range — and a low-fat option at 4% crude fat. That makes rabbit ears one of the leaner chews available, useful for dogs that need to be engaged and occupied without adding significant calories.
