A working dog that has put in years of hard work deserves a food that acknowledges what their body now needs — not just maintenance, but active support for the things that start to show: joint stiffness, muscle loss, weight management.

This recipe is formulated for senior working dogs with three specific inclusions the adult recipe doesn't carry. L-Carnitine at 240 mg/kg supports lean muscle retention and helps regulate weight in older dogs with lower activity levels. A joint care pack of glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM supports cartilage alongside the naturally occurring collagen from the freshly prepared salmon. Fat is reduced to 11% from the adult recipe's 15% — appropriate for a dog doing less daily work but still needing complete nutrition.

The Scottish salmon base is the same as the adult recipe: 35% freshly prepared, 65% total, high omega-3, less intensively farmed. The protein remains at 35% — senior dogs need protein to maintain muscle, not less of it.

65% Salmon: Freshly Prepared Scottish Salmon (35%), Dried Salmon (24.5%), Salmon Oil (3%), Salmon Gravy (2.5%). Sweet Potato, Beans, Beet Pulp, Dried Superfood Blend (Including Dill, Spinach, Fennel, Asparagus, Tomato — each equivalent to 4% fresh ingredients), Minerals, Omega 3 Supplement, Joint Pack (Glucosamine 178 mg/kg, Methylsulfonylmethane 178 mg/kg, Chondroitin Sulphate 125 mg/kg), Fructooligosaccharides (175 mg/kg), Mannanoligosaccharides (50 mg/kg), Olive Extract (0.01%).
