Kindness Survives – Blue Edition is a soft act of resistance, inspired by the wartime artwork of Finnish author and illustrator Tove Jansson — best known as the creator of the Moomins.
During World War II, Jansson used her pen to protest fascism, drawing anti-war cartoons and inventing strange, gentle creatures who fled danger and built a peaceful life in nature. Her work reminds us that art can comfort and challenge at once — and that kindness is a form of courage.
This original design follows in that spirit. A curly-coated dog shelters a small bird beneath an umbrella. The sun, the bloom, and the dove are simple but powerful symbols: hope survives. And peace must be protected — even in small ways.
Created in collaboration with AI and designed by the team behind The Pets Larder, this T-shirt is a quiet protest. A wearable reminder that even soft voices can make ripples.
